curious d-el. I also happen to have a biggish RTP based employer, with a rec center and a little pond... "RTP-based" is throwing me off a bit, but mine definitely has a prominent RTP presence.

Not enough background in your pic to determine if its the same place. Try looking for the first 5 chars of my username on your corporate instant messaging app tomorrow (or now) & see if we're climbing the same corporate ladder (while we're not fishing, of course). There's only so many biggish rtp employers with rec centers, softball fields and ponds. For what its worth, I've tried our pond about 5 times in the last 15 yrs and don't recall ever catching a thing. Good place to drown some stress before driving home tho...

I guess it is just the light but that fish looks more like a Snook than a Bass. I wondered if anyone else noticed that.

You know, when I pulled it out of the water, my first thought was "What kind of fish is this??" I wasn't completely convinced that it was a bass. Definitely could be a snook, I've never caught a snook before.

Just the light and angle. (and maybe some wishful thinking) Most bass have a lot more dark markings and a greener coloration though.
