Hit the water just before lunch today to see if we could find a few drum and then go looking for a trout. The morning started off slow with nothing to show except a largemouth and a pickerel. After a couple of hours we made a move to another creek a few miles away that proved to be a wise decision. We pulled into the creek and immediately found several small schools of drum. Before it was said and done we put 25-30 in the boat on Squarebill Crankbaits and Billy Bay Halo Shads. Fish were in less than 3 feet of water with a grassy, mud bottom and pretty spooky but very aggressive.
