Headed out today and ended up with a nice haul of Crappie from Falls Lake. Used up all 4 dozen minnows landed 20 crappie, 5 bream, one yellow perch, one catfish and 4 turtles. The yellow perch are always small as heck would be nice to land into a couple of nice sized ones. Most of the crappie were good sized threw back 2 that were too small to bother with.

Missed a few others thats the problem of working three poles is one may be going and other takes off. Once the wind died down the fishing slowed down actually. First crappie was in the bucket within 5 mites of hitting the lake at 6 Pm

Went last night and I can report the crappie have moved off the up close banks. Water level was down a few feet and the turtles would not leave alone the minnows. I tired a shady spot at first but the turtles had congregated there so moved back to my usual spot. Sun was beating down hot and no breeze and no action either. Ended up the evening with two small bass, one bream and one decent sized crappie. Hit a private lake on way home and not a nibble by anything but two miniature bass

Tons of small channel cats 8-14 inches, no need to go hungry around that lake, kept a few 13-14 inchers for the grease (the little ones taste good fried on the bone) . Caught 4 keeper crappie nothing pic worthy and several under 8" fish. Mom had a blast and thats all that mattered! Fished Beaver dam area on the old roadbed off Weaver Trail. Lots of big carp working the edges and little turtles around. Caught 4 bass all under 14" too. Minnows, Wigglers, and beetle spins. Fished 530am to 10am then went back at 5pm til 10pm yesterday.

I know that spot. I think the crappie have moved off to deeper water. The rain last night will bring up the lake a bunch may be days before that road isn't flodded
