Hey all, first time posting here. Been out on the Currituck sound quite a few times as of late. Been catching and unlimited supply of white perch and some nice largemouth bass. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on going after Reds/Striper/Trout in the area. Im thinking I might need to go south of wright memorial for better luck, but any advice is appreciated!

Stripers should be piling up around the footings of the Umstead bridge down by Manteo right now. Best bet is to troll rattle traps, spoons or bucktails slowly under the bridge. Look for specks way in the back of the creeks.....waaaaaaayyyyyy in the back! Reds...you may find a residual rat red but it's usually more like mid-March before they hit the point so another week or so before you'll see them in that part of the sound.
