Had a blast taking a good friend out to fish the Pigeon River on Sunday 4-26-2015. We started catching them right off the bat in spots I’ve not caught fish before, and knew right away it was going to be a good day. We caught both largemouth and smallmouth bass, trout and massive bream. We missed the biggest smallie of the day when it jumped and threw the hook below the boat. The big fish of the day was a six pound largemouth that put up a heck of a fight, jumping five times before making it into the net. Fish fell for soft plastic’s on Arkie jigsheads, Rapala’s husky jerks, and spinners-baits. It’s good to see good numbers of fish on a trip and things are still heating up! I know I made the "Dirty Bird" joke, but it's been cleaned up fairly well, we still hook an old mattress or some river crap at least once a trip....
