Capt. Gary Dubiel of the Spec Fever Guide Service gave the participants of the Pechmann Center's Fly-tying Forums, a very informative presentation on fishing for giant red drum with a fly rod on the Neuse River. Gary explained effectively how to locate, hook, and land these majestic creatures. The presentation also contained information about redfish age and growth and how-to safely land and release the fish to ensure their survival. The presentation continued, as Dubiel instructed the group in the method of constructing the Pop N' Fly rig that is revolutionizing fly-fishing for redfish. The Pechmann Center provides free Beginning Fly-tying Courses and monthly Fly-tying Forums for veteran tyers. The Fly-tying forums will begin again on January 22nd, 2015.

Believe he is referring to the trout to stock the ponds at the center are coming soon. If that is what is causing the confusion.

Wait, what?
They bring trout in from the mountains an put them in the ponds at the Pechmann Center for fly fishing in the winter.
wow! I wish I would have know about this. I would loved to sit in on that. You didn't happen to record that presentation.
Sorry, we haven't had the time to record any presentations, to this point, but we hope to be able to accommodate that in the future.
