I fished Durant Nature Park in North Raleigh on Saturday from around 2:30pm until 6pm. Upon arrival, I caught 3 Largemouth bass in ~30 minutes. I was off to the best start of my young bass fishing career! Then, my buddy showed up and the bite shut down. I didn't catch anything else the rest of the day, and neither did he.

All 3 bass were caught on Deep Creek Sink-n-Catch, their Senko-type lure, in Green Pumpkin color:

The first 2 were babies, the 3rd was decent, see attached.

Ha! Exactly what I told him.

I forgot to mention, I caught the bass using a 'wacky rig' on the Senkos. I had never fished wacky rigged before, so I was pleased that I had at least proved the concept could work for me.
