My Pastor was on one last fall and his wife and mil did the walk a few weeks back down east.

PM me your contact info and I can put you touch if you like for questions.
Do you go back and serve?
I was on one many years ago in GA and have served on quite a few since then. Not really sure of any communities in NC yet, though.
I did one out of Wake Co and met in the Short Journey Center in Johnson Co about '07/'08 It was a very moving, love, spirit filling experience. My wife did it several months later and did not get much of anything from it. I would recommend it to any Christian or person who has a Bible based background. In my opinion, you need a relationship with God before you are a part of one. I have not served in one but my sister and brother in-law did several times. I am Baptist, but Emmaus Walk is sponsored by the Methodist. Not a big deal, but I did notice some different terminology used from what I grew up with. Definitely would recommend it.

Just finished my walk this weekend (AE109, Still Water) with Albemarle Emmaus and other pilgrims at the Eastern H Center in Columbia, NC along the sound. I don't know if the threat of the hurricane helped to focus the event but it sure didn't stop it or hinder us from having a great time. Lots of good people down east but I am sure lots of you already knew that. I did too but they did us right this weekend.
