When I lived in NC (I left in 96), I think they were stocking Stripers in Falls Lake, I want to know if there are any in the lake for sure.

I think that's about the time they stopped. Pretty sure there hasn't been an active stocking program there in the last 7-8 years anyway, but couldn't find any records on ncwildlife in a quick search. Maybe somebody else can point to a definitive report online???

I fished Falls hundreds of times from 1999-2006 and only saw 1 dead floater the whole time. Should have been able to catch one accidentally with all the surface feeding schools I hit and all the shad immitations I threw out there.

Certainly not enough left to target them, although every so often a bass fisherman gets one by mistake. Pretty good white bass population though
