Not sure. I'm hoping to sit down and look at a few other organizations stuff and see if we can build on it.
Anybody out there with knowledge, it would be greatly appreciated if you would contribute to this. I have no idea as to what I'm doing I just think it's a great idea.
I am having trouble putting the faces with the screen names, however sounds like I might have met you at Lake Rim Fly Fishing class. There is an informal fly tying club, "Fayetteville Fly Tyers", though it has been less than active lately and is unstructured. Its main event has been the annual Fly Tie-a-thon that this year will be the end of April. Also, we occasionally get together at someones house and tie flies. Your participation would be welcome, just drop me an email.
Also, there is a local chapter of Trout Unlimited (Cross Creek TU), however it is currently dormant. I had previously thought about starting a Federation of Fly Fishers local group here but was a bit intimidated by the work involved in setting something like that up.
There is something to be said for keeping it informal, then one doesn't have to worry about legal issues, dues, etc.. Pehaps jus a collection of names on a common email list would start. I could add your names to the FFT list if you would like and we could plan an informal fly tying get together sometime soon.
would def. be interested in joining, would like to know more info. Love to fish, just no one to go with. Would be a great to meet some new anglers to go out with on my boat.
Sounds like a good time to have a Meet and Greet somewhere in town. We could use the time to get to know each other and possibly discuss an outing or two.
I'm heading out of town for a couple of weeks. I will be back the week of March 12th. If everyone agrees, I would vote that we get together on the 13th at a local restraunt at 7pm for a little dinner and conversation.
didn't look my first message went thru. I have to work on the 13th, maybe another time? Or let me know what everyone figures out if you guys do meet. My boat goes in the shop tomarrow for about a week but I'm looking for any takers who would like to join me in two weeks searching for some small reds on the coast. There are some pics from this last week of two reds we caught under the salt water photos
adam
The 12th would work just as well for me. I thought about Smoky Bones for a restruant , but I'm open for suggestion. Keith- I'll be working the knot tying station, tomorrow.
