More often than not when someone receives great customer service it goes unnoticed or unannounced, but the bad customer service is more likely to make it out there due to people being upset. This is a huge +1 in my book for Fenwick and why they will be getting more of my business.

Last week I was browsing on their webpage and noticed that under their warranty section it said if you broke a rod and it was your fault to contact them and they will make you a deal. So I sent off an email with the rod info and how it broke (100% my fault and I made that clear in the email). That night I had an email back with a number to call and a code to give. The next day I made call. They said no problem, a new rod of the same make is on the way as long as I cover $10 for shipping. Of course I took the offer and 3 business days later I had a brand new rod on my porch.

I've had this happen with a GLoomis rod before, but I had to pay more money to them at the time, not to mention the rod cost 6 times as much as this Fenwick did. Fenwicks service is top notch and I figured I'd let you all know. They will be getting more of my money shortly.

I bought a Fenwick eagle GT at Dudleys, Dale the guy that works in the back with the rods and line, told me if I break it, bring it back! Broke the tip pulling in a 22" red. Took it back the next day, walked out with a new rod, no charge!

Accidentally snapped my buddies Fenwick spinning rod a couple of weeks ago. He took it back to Intercoastal Angler and they replaced it on the spot.

Are the HMX series rods any good?

They feel pretty good in hand held one yesterday at the new F&S store. Not a fan of the 'flat' finish.

I feel they will have a cult following as they are fairly new and from a major brand.

For another $20 the HMG 6'9 ML would make the perfect rod for slinging 17mr's. As many of you know I'm a diehard Shimano man, but I'll own at least one of these.

I've got a pair of the HMG 7' medium spinning rods. I like them. Good rods for the money, in my opinion.

I own 4 Fenwicks, 3 spinning and 1 fly. Broke the flyrod awhile back and they replaced it. Absolutely love the rods as well as the fact that they stand behind their products.

I purchased a Fenwick Aetos 7' medium action spinning rod a couple weeks back and that thing is awesome! Have had several over the years and this is one is my new favorite rod. Don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about poor customer service from Fenwick either so that's always a plus in my book. I will be buying more of these rods soon.
