Just checking in. I live in Havelock and run a retail business that is connected to fishing but don't know how much I can say without getting banned for advertizing. I like all types of fishing but prefer freshwater. Fished the Bass Tournament trail when it was fun and made enough to start my own business twenty years ago. My wife use to say that I would rather fish than anything else. Getting people started in fishing is my basic aim in life wheather there 6 or 60.

Hey luremaker. Welcome to the site and thanks for participating. I appreciate your interest in helping folks get started in fishing. Your input will be very valuable to many.

Regarding advertising...please feel free to tell us about your business and where you're located. The site is here to inform folks about resources and information/education on fishing in NC. I'm happy to connect members with retailers. I just ask that folks not go overboard with blatant advertising in every post. That can be annoying and appears that someone is posting just to get their advertising in a post.

And if anyone is interested we offer the opportunity for folks to purchase a banner link in our "partners" module on the main page of the site if they want to advertise their business more prominently there. It helps contribute to the operating costs of running the site too. Thanks for being sensitive to this.

Blessings and tight lines!
Randy

Welcome aboard luremaker!

It sounds like we have just added another valuable resource to this board. I think you'll fit right in. There is a bunch of fine folks on it and so far I've not run into anything negative here. I'm glad to see you join because most of what I've learned about fishing over the years was a direct result of talking with other anglers who had already 'been there and done that' and knew the ropes so to speak. Like you I get a lot out of being able to help out my fellow angler by passing on a little of that which was passed down to me, or what I've learned the hard way over the years. Really, none of it came the hard way because I enjoyed every minute of it.:) If you ever need a little help I'll certainlly do what I can but be prepared because there is a ton I don't know about bass fishing!:D Again welcome aboard mate!
