I was fortunate enough to launch my yak out at bath yesterday. This was the first time i ever attempted to fish for anything other than bass with artificial lures. With a GREAT deal of luck i was able to catch my limit of trout in about 45 minutes with a Pearl white gulp jerk shad attached to a DOA cigar clacker. Needless to say this trip has made me forget about bass fishing.

Great Job! Limiting out on trout isn't easy this time of year for anybody! Just a tip. When catching trout don't say where you caught them because they are HIGHLY sought after.

Now...launch from the Surf and catch a fish that will pull u... you will forget about the trout.

It's so easy...just go when it is Very.... calm...slight wind. Or first thing in the morning.

great catch but when i gave you a little info on where to put in the kayak i didn't expect you to tell everyone and their cousin lol... My bad for trying to help a new guy out. If I wasn't moving back to florida in 2 weeks i might be a little upset

Yep, that about figures! I'm always either a day late, dollar short, or on the WRONG side of the Pamlico! Congrats on a great first outing. We were fishing out of Aurora and nobody we talked with, including us, caught a thing.
