I'm looking to replace my old Eagle plain Jane.
I'd like something simple but I'd entertain one with GPS if they aren't crazy money. Any tips are appreciated

Fish Finder

What do you consider "crazy money"? For a decent 5" screen, GPS/Fish Finder combo, plan on spending somewhere in the $600-$750 range. Lowrance, Garmin, and Humminbird are the top brands for recreational fishermen and are frequently advertised. Do lots of research on the web, check out all the big-box outdoor sites (Bass Pro, Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Dick's and West Marine, and you'll find out the market prices and be able to recognize a good buy when you see it.

I'm going for a Lowrance vertical Elite. Depending on the features, they can be had MSRP model 3X $99 to model 4 $249.

I'm pretty happy with my lowrance 5x hdi. Can be had for around $300, 12 hours of life on a fully charged deer feeder battery, downscan works great, perfect size for my Cuda 12.
