I thought it would be interesting to share some of the many names we have for the same fish.

I'll start with King Mackerel, feel free to add more for Kings and any other fish you wish.

King
Snake (small king)
Teenager (ones weighing in the teens)
smoker (20 pounds and up)
Kingfish

I posted something like this for Blues, but could find it so I'll try again.
  1. Snappers < 12" (leaving mullet heads on the hook)
  2. Cocktails 2 lbers
  3. Tailers or tailors are 2 to 5 lbers
  4. Choppers are 5 to 10 lbers
  5. Slammers or aligators/gators are 10 lbs or more
I could have the sizes wrong, but that's what I remember from fishing around EI and Bogue Sound.

Bream
Bluegill
Sunfish
Shellcracker
Pumpkinseed
Redbreast
There are so many kinds of sunfish( And possibly some interbreeding) I think it just about takes an expert to accurately identify them all.
