Not sure I have any business replying to this thread, because I have only taken one trip out in NC coastal waters, but it was this past Saturday. I had pretty much the same results as everybody else did. Didn't see anything moving, bait, tails, or otherwise in the marshes or the creeks south of Wrightsville Beach. Spent most of my time learning the area and navigating to avoid oyster beds. I did have one hook up, but lost it due to rigging error, never got the hook out of the gulp jerk shad and into the fishes mouth, left the hook buried like I would with softer freshwater baits for bass. It was Chartreuse pepper neon color and strike came on the outgoing tide up in a creek just south of Masonboro inlet.
