I am going to be in Aberdeen all next week for work and would like to fish a little if I have time. Is there anyplace to fish from shore or would I need to bring my kayak?

Well Aberdeen lake park is right on highway 15-501 in aberdeen, you can fish from shore but the kayak would let you get around the whole lake. I think it is about 40-50 acres, it was drained way down last year because they did some renovation on the dam, but it has been filled back up. mostly bass, brim(sunfish), and some catfish. there is also the pinehurst reservoir park which is nearby. same fish selection. the biggest problem is most of the lakes are on golf courses and you have to live in the communities to fish in the lakes. there are a few small lakes around whispering pines and in the vass area that you could fish on also.
