Im looking for a fish trip this weekend. Does anyone know best spots to fish on the yadkin river and what to use? I just want to catch something. Ive fished a yr and only caught one fish but it was at smith mtn lake va last month.

Also does anyone know what kinda fish are at and advice for lake lure, jordan lake, or any good advice for a beginer to fish and actually catch something?

Buy some worms or minners, put under a float. Something will surely pull your string.

For the yadkin it depends on where you are on the river, That's a long river. You can catch smallies on rooster tails up at Shoals/Pilot mountain state park outside of eastbend or everything from catfish to white bass down closer to I-85. If you are just dying to catch something I would say get some stink bait from Wal-Mart and toss it out for the always hungry catfish. Good luck and just be patient.
