I am going to be spending the weekend with my wifes family in Concord. Any pointers on good place for some fun shore fishing in the area?

with the biggest lake in north carolina 40 miles away?? yeah i can think of a place to go weather or not you catch anything is debateable.. from the bank i would try around the hwy 150 bridge..theres a mile or more of rip rap there..
