From shore? Or float trip?
Fishing the New River
Me and my partner started fishing at 7am til 1 pm on Friday, June 5th - we caught 42 smallmouth bass. No big ones, still a good day on the river.

What a great day! I've yet to fish the New. I used to do tons of floats on it each summer with scouts, but that was before I got into fishing. I always kick myself thinking about the great water I must have passed through!
Great news I have been thinking about making a trip that way soon. Welcome to the site. Elk Creek? Are you from Caldwell or Wilkes counties?
