Why does ncangler not host low stakes members only tournaments? It could be a fun way to have some good fellowship and be a good first step for people interested in tournament fishing.

On another site I frequent they do hold tournaments and they are a great time, even have 3 different divisions in NC. That is a bass boat website so most on there have bass boats or know someone who does, most with bass boats are bass fishermen so that makes it easy. NCangler has a very diverse member base... bank fishermen, kayak fishermen, bass fishermen, catfish fishermen, saltwater fishermen and the list could go on forever. That would make it pretty difficult to put something together everyone could agree on and get a decent turnout. Several groups on here hold get together kinds of trips for fellowship purposes.

Not a bad idea, Swampin... as Neil pointed out there could be some logistics issues; I don't have the time or energy these days to put something like that together, but with enough advance notice and close enough to home, I would love to participate in something like that.

I think it gets sticky because of NCA's status as a business etc. Not sure what the legalities there are. Not to say we cant have one of our own. Just make sure you have Randy's permission/participation to represent NCA so he doesn't get into tax issues etc.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, and so does what sundrop said. I was watching fishing shows and just got curious as to why there doesn't seem to be any. Now I know. I wish I had the time or knowledge to put something like that together because I know it'd be a blast.
