Looking good guys. Curtis, I think you could right a book on fishing for flounder and trout in eastern NC and it would probably sell like iced tea in the desert.

Getting it done as usual! I'd like your flounder recipes because I'm sure you know how to cook it right with all the practice you get.

It was only a few years ago when 3 boats at germantown was a crowd. Seems to be a lot of interest in the Northern side of the sound the the past few years. Surprised a new tackle shop, campground or something hasn't popped up in the area. Last Saturday was the most boats I had ever seen down there.Thought I was in Morehead. Rose Bay and Swan Quarter parking lots full and parking on the side of the road.

Awesome catch Curtis. Since you seem to fish that area often, maybe you would be the guy to ask. I launched out of Rose Bay on Tuesday. Fished the Rose Bay area and then went to the Germantown area, didn't catch squat, but it was the first time I had been in that area. Anyway, what are the big PVC structures in those areas? One of the two I saw was marked with a name and number the other had no identification at all. The one that wasn't marked looked like it had crab pots run right through it. I steered clear not knowing what they were. Any way, I was just wondering. Again, nice catch. You appear to be a flounder whisperer! Nice work.

You must have some magic. I fishing the same area and only managed about 4. Talked to almost 10 more boats and they did nothing also.
the pvc is the markings of a private oyster lease

Nice Curtis! I have the same hat, I think they originally came from Gene.

Looking forward to seeing some more fired flounder pictures.

Curtis could catch a flounder in a farm pond on JoCo. It ain't magic, but he definitely knows the right way to hold his mouth.

Interesting. What does that mean for fishing? Is the area off limits? Obviously the oysters would be off limits, but the area in general?

I fished in Curtis` backyard today as well. Managed to put 10 in the boat with 5 keepers from 15.25" to 18". My best keeper day! Could not manage to find #6. A beautiful day on the water.

Curtis, awesome catch. Man, you make Monday's easier to deal with. Great pics, thanks for sharing.

There will be a small package arriving shortly with what MIGHT look like a GPS device capable of transmitting signal. Please keep it on your person from now on. :)
