Has anyone fly fished the Uwharrie river with any success? I've recently gotten into fly fishing and live fairly close to the Uwharrie. I'd prefer a mountain trout stream but the closest is at least and hour and a half from me. I'm not picky on species small mouth, bream, crappie...just about anything would suit me. I went fishing on the Davidson River back in the spring and it has given me a good dose of the fly fishing bug.
