Hey guys,

I’m new to the area and am wondering what the closest, worth while, trout streams are to Raleigh.

Also if you guys know of any good streams that need to be hiked into, that would be great.

If you get on 40 west you will start finding Trout water around Morganton(about 3hrs). I received a book of NC Trout fishing maps from the WRC. Iwould recommend getting a copy of this book. It will help you locate the streams and plan your trips. Here's the link Trout Fishing Maps Book
