We ran a full day fishing on Fontana lake today. Fish have completely moved out of Forney Creek. Spent a good amount of time looking today. Searched with a Humminbird 997c sonar. Found several good schools of fish. Good population of spotted bass and crappie in the back of mouse creek, before big flat. All fish were small to average size schools. We left the fish in search of better quality. Finally found good schools in Lemons Branch. Bait was mixed in with the thermocline, which makes identifying it a bit tricky. Fish were coming up regularly. Caught a mixture of white bass, small mouth, and spotted bass. Fish never schooled deep and caught most fish near surface. Threw luna spoons, rattle traps, and Rapala X raps to account for 20 or so fish.
