Had an awesome fight with the first bull red I've ever hooked into. Thing tugged me and my yak around like it was nothin. I had about 10 ft of leader and got about 5 or 6 of it back and that's when the hook pulled. The fish hit the jig when I popped it up and it probably got hooked right on the edge of the lip because it didn't have time to get it in its mouth. The hook wasn't bent and that's why i'm sure that the hook just tore through its lip.

Here's the video:

Nice fight. I lost one near that area last year after a good 15 minute fight. Took me for a ride then broke me off on a boat dock w/ a good run. It only gave me more respect for them. Pound for pound it was likely the strong fish I've ever fought. Any luck finding the flounder and trout that day?

Maybe it's the same red lol. We caught a few undersize trout and a couple undersize flounder that day.
