I got word from Richard at Carolina Mtn. Sports yesterday evening that my ordered rod had arrived. I travelled to the fly shop and returned the rental and was introduced to my new weapon of choice. Redington Crosswater 6wt. Now, if I can ever fully defeat this allergy/sinus/cough I'll be on the trail of my first victims....progress to follow.

You'll want to tie the bombers on with a non-standard knot too. I like the rapala knot, it makes the fly sit on the water freely.

Hmmm....I tried to convince wademaster to drop a few more bucks on a selection of bombers and other flies....but he said he had quite a few.... Fellow anglers are to be commended. Nicely done.

Hopefully this new outfit will be getting some action this evening! This is the longest unintentional hiatus I've taken from fishing in ages.....meds are finally taking hold and clearing me up some. Not 100% but getting there....
