Fenwick or Star have 'truth' lifetime guarantees, not partial or mail it back types.
Just bring it back to the tackle shop for a replacement.
Differently get a one piece rod in 7'. Shorter 6'6" are for precision casting around docks.

Good choice going with 19# braid.

I bought a Fenwick Eagle combo from Dick’s last Feb and the rod broke just above the handle last week. Dick’s would not process the warranty but Purfishing did. Sent pictures of breakage and receipt and will be getting a new rod soon.
I own 5 Fenwick rods and really like them. The 7’ medium lite/fast is really sensitive and the medium 6’6” and 7’ medium/fast are strong. Each is paired with 20-35 size reel.
