Got a reel now I need a rod (beginner)

Well I got a Shimano Stradic Ci4+ 3000 today for both inshore lure and jig fishing around Oak ICW and also some freshwater bass fishing in the upstate. I think I plan to run some 10lb braided line on it but I need to choose me a rod. I've fished spinning reels before but this will be my first one. I don't want junk and I want my best bang for the buck but want to keep the price below $150. I think I want a medium with fast action but I don't know about length. I will be mainly doing bank/pier fishing for now (hopefully boat later) but was thinking either a 6'6" or a 7'. Would like to hear opinions on length and brand/type rod.

Right now I'm really looking at the St. Croix Triumph

Have you looked into a Lamiglas Black? I am doing the same freshwater/ ICW use.
