Now that I have your attention the crappie have started their yearly feeding frenzy in Slocum Creek here in Havelock and on Brices Creek up near New Bern. Live minnows and beetle spins are the trick along with a new one that Stump Hugger Baits just got back from field tests with good results 20 crappie in 2 hours all over 12 inches.
