see if you can catch some panfish, bream etc and cut that up and if you see anyone throwing a net you may be able to buy a few shad. Otherwise use chicken livers, nightcrawlers or live line some large minnows. Fish the bottom or just off bottom. Try to fish structure if possible since you have no real way of telling bottom contour from land. If your fishing in a current, place baits where they will pass or rest behind structure since that is where fish will lay out of the pull of the current waiting for something tasty to come by.
the crappie are turning on pretty good got some last sunday and even today.. minners or a small crappie jig 1/16 or 1/32 oz heads tube jig in a black/green or a root beer/chatruses will be your thing..
