I am heading down to the N. Toe River for some down time..hoping for some smallie action..was hoping to maybe get on a local lake for some LMB's...I was doing some research and saw SWISS PINE LAKE in Spruce pine is not to far from where I'm staying anyone know if your allowed to fish there I was also looking at DEER PARK LAKE I dont want to travel too far from where im staying on LOWER DOE BAG RD. Or of any other spots near there ill have a small bass boat with me..Ill return the favor If you are ever up north...we got some nice fish up here in NJ!!!

I merged your thread posts together. We don't allow posting the same content in multiple threads but I merged these together since it was a different fish photo. I hope you get some responses to your question in this thread. Please give it some time.

More than likely anything in that area will be private. and probably owned by a development. Not to be smarmy:rolleyes:, but a lot of the developments in that area are vacation homes owned by northern transplants. They may give you permission before they give it to a local. Can't hurt to ask, all they can say is no. I would say your best shot at some LMB would be Lake James or Lake Hickory. Maybe a little farther than you want to drive though. BTW, last time I went through Jersey, I saw some beautiful trout water, killed me not having a fly rod with me.
