Moving to NC from UT (no, not a polygamist). Looking forward to year round fishing and great people. If anyone can recommend some places to fish from shore, mainly LMB, I would really appreciate it!

Mention your location in NC, and I am sure you'll get a few places to fish in that area. Welcome to ncangler.

Wake Forest but working around Sanford. A few clients I've talked to only fish the small local lakes and ponds, which are right up my alley. I've bass fished tournaments but now the family is the priority. I want to teach my boys more about fishing. Out in UT it's hard to find anything but Trout. I appreciate all the friendship we've received so far. Certainly look forward to calling NC home

You're in a great location to fish from the mountains to the coast. Consider joining the Red X Angler club, in the club forums. You'll get more help than you'll ever believe from ncangler and the Red Xers, whether you join or not.

Hey Topwater Lover, I lived in WF for over 6 years and my goto was the WF water reservoir. I had days where I would catch a lot of fish there and quite a few days catching nothing. From my experience you can catch a big bass, say over 4 pounds but they weren't plentiful to me. Some days even 5 to 6 boats could be high traffic. Search for this reservoir on this site and you can get some more insight. Overall I loved this lake and would fish it if I didn't live so far away now. I could get home, load the Jon boat and be on the water in 20 minutes. PM me if you want. I have one spot in particular that I fished that almost always produced a lot of smaller fish or one or two nice sized bass. The jacks in there are a blast too! I'd be happy to pass it on, especially since I no longer fish it!

Where is the best place to find out if ponds have fish in them? I know most guys are tight lipped about any honey holes.
Thanks for the advice, I'll certainly check it out!
