Hi All, I have a portable Hummingbird 345C. The transducer took a hit on something in the water in Maine. After that I got an intermittent signal for a while and then nothing.

Does anyone near Cary have a transducer I can hook up to to verify before acquiring a replacement? The cable has a 5 sided connector with 7 pins (2/3/2).

wow just looked at the price of those, I see why you want to try before you buy!! OUCH!

I am thinking more of verifying the head still works properly and selling the head. I have a much better unit on my yak and I would get another transducer for it. Then retrofit the new unit to the portable bag so I can use it if not in the yak. Like up in Maine.

I would guess if your transducer head took a hit, it's the head that's damaged, but I'm not that knowledgable. Hope you get it worked out.
