Hello forum, this is my first post so I hope it's in the correct place. I moved to Coleridge, NC about 5 years ago. It's located in Central North Carolina. I live in an area that is surrounded by a creek that flows into deep river. When I first started fishing it there were loads of different fish - pike, bass, brim, catfish. Recently (this year and last, there have been practically no fish. I think this is due to a beaver building a dam. I see beavers all the time in the deeper area, and tracks on the bank as well as debris floating occasionaly.

I'm not sure if there is anything I can do if the beavers have built a dam. Tearing it down would seem cruel.

Hi Jacob. And welcome to NCangler.com. Since it is your first post I moved it to our Meet and Greet forum so folks can say hello. I hope you get some helpful responses to your beaver dam question. Checking with the NC Wildlife Commission might be a good idea too.
