Decided to stay close to home and went to Lake Higgins with the kayak. Ended up with a decent 5 bass in 4 hours. All were on Zoom black trick worm rigged weightless. All were on deepish wood. Not sticks or ends of trees but soild logs, stumps, etc. All were off the bank a bit. None were up on the bank at all. Coming soon I do suppose. Higgins has always been tough to me but yesterday was worth it. 2 x3.5 lbs, 1 x 2+ lbs, 2 at 1.5 lbs. Only missed a couple. They were really eating it.

It has always been tough for me. They have installed fish attractors, etc. But I wish they would down a few trees like they did at RRR. It is small which makes it great for kayaking. It is also very close to my house and perhaps best ... has little traffic. It would be really cool if they would make it a non-motorized option. The fish I caught were all healthy and fat.
I will definitely try again as it was a positive experience.

Cant wait for post spawn topwater bite. I can not catch fish all day and still love it!
