Hobie Pro Angler 17 Tandem

Hobie has a new PA that is 17ft. Long. Dual Vantage seating and a new live well and 900 lb. capacity. Also trolling motor mount and side rails that have sliding mounts. They have a video of it on you tube. I wonder what they are saving for icast this year.

With a nearly 100 lb kayak of my own that purists despise, I've little room to talk....

But when you get to 230+ pounds..., Need a trailer to transport it.....and never mentions paddles in the ad.... Is it still a kayak?

80 lbs more than my PA 14. I use a trailer but could put mine in a pick up bed and see no reason that the 17 could not be put in a 8ft bed pick up with a bed extender. I think the 17 will be a good seller even tho the price is out of site. I'm seeing post already where guys have 2 PAs and are thinking of selling them and getting the 17.

Wow...

If it works for them, I hope they find that they're worth the money.

It's not a yak obviously.
It's morphed into "a boat"

I don't think it's being advertised as a yak.

For the price, there would much better options for myself. At that point one of the crappie specials from bass pro would look better....for fishing.
