Hobucken

I rode down to Aurora and on out to Hobucken this afternoon scouting new territory and ramps so I don't head out blind next week. City ramp in Aurora looks nice. Hobucken Marina is the only thing I saw in Hobucken($5 launch) and a little wildlife ramp in an area called Smith's Creek just outside of Hobucken....
Are there any other ramps in the area?
Also, any ideas on where I should head once I'm on the water? Not looking for "secrets" just general areas I can find easily with my chartbook... Specs/Flounder/Reds the usual type fishing for the area...

Probably do well just about any where.

Depending on your ride and the weather, Brandt Shoal with a good blow, anchor up and drift back to the edge of the shoal, tie off and sling some Owne Lupton small rigs in the white water with chunks of menhaden and have a blast.

Next week end I will be checking out Tornegan (sp?) bay which is just across the water from you.

Good luck and let us know how you do!!!!

Thanks for the info. I may stick to the marshes and creeks this round. I haven't taken my 15' into any "real" water yet..LOL!! It is an old trihull fish-n-ski and I'm kinda new at this....
Sounds like a plan!

Catch 'em up....

If you put in at Aurora, there should be fish all around the creek there. There is a barge slip that usually hold fish and Indian Island at the mouth of the creek is a good spot as well. Let us know how you do.
