We planned on going to Falls Lake today but it was cloudy and we didn't know if it was going to rain or not. We decided to go to Holt Lake in Butner since it's less than 10 minutes from our house. First time we've fished it from the boat, so we rode around a lot and checked the lake out. Found a good little grass spot and fished one side of it and didn't get bit. We went to the end of the lake and on the way back we stopped at the grass again on the other side. I threw my brush hog to the edge of the grass and a few seconds later my line is moving sideways fast. My Dad was standing beside me and I said "watch out" and set the hook as hard as I could. It put up a good little fight pulling a lot of drag and I finally got it to the boat. It was around 4 pounds. It was the only one we caught but it was worth the trip, and my biggest so far this year. :D
