A gift from my wife The knitting pattern was originally for a whale shark that she was making for our nephew, but when I commented on how it almost looked like a catfish, she made a modified one for me.

Now if only I could get out there and catch a real one!

Haha, I love that meme. Cost of materials + time might convince her But often there is a discrepancy between what people want to spend and what would actually cover the materials alone, let alone time!

I asked my wife how much she'd charge to make one. She said she's only even bartered for her creations. And then she says, "does he charter fishing trips?"

We have the road kill collection, possums, squirrel, armadillo. Using up gray yarn. A squid, octopus, and dinosaurs are other projects. Some are crochet, others are knit.
