More good news for the Fayetteville area. I just heard that the Hope Mills city council awarded the contract to repair the Lake's dam, on Monday. We lost the Hope Mills Lake and Lake Upchurch in May of 2003 when heavy rains caused the dams of each lake to be breached. The mayor says the Lake will be back in use by the end of next summer. So, we should have some fishable water in a couple of years.
