Thinking of fishing Falls at 98 where the WRC spot is at and walking the bank on Saturday. Google says that is Upper Barton Creek area. Anybody fish over there or park along SR 2003 and walk over? Thinking about bringing some live bait, might have better luck. Any better spots I should try instead?

Figured there is some nice spots that are easier to walk to in the winter then say summer.

So how far are you walking?

Try Old Weaver rd. Off New Light rd. The old roadbed off to the left is Beaver Dam area. No power boats allowed. The roadbed is lined with rocks and tapers in depth and you can park and fish right there if you want. The rocks will hold heat and bait fish. Minnows under a bobber and toss small lures you can work slow. Lots of paths to walk around there too. The house in the woods on the far end drive is actually a park ranger. Nice guy.

depends what you are after. Crappie are hanging in deep water and most folks are getting them near bridges. The new light bridge has spots one can follow a path down to. If your after bass old weaver has spots to east and west of HWY 50 that you can find access to.

know the spot you mention looks like it could be good but never have fished it just scouted it once.
