Been told Lure is pretty "hard access". Shame if so, I went to church camp there every year when I was a kid. (camp Lurecrest ). I do know I like Lake Adger . Check into it If you don`t know about it. State record muskie came from there last I heard. The Green river is also very cool. We go there every year for delayed harvest trout. Do know Adger is small fee. We`ve always been when the guard wasn`t there. Yakking!

Lake Lure is hard to access but there is some public shoreline access.\

The lake gets stockings of rainbow trout and has a good population of carp.

The town of Lake Lure's website is a good one to view all the fishing regulations and boating fees.

It is not cheap to put a boat out on Lake Lure. That is a big drawback but it does limit fishing pressure.

Lake Adger just down NC 9 is NC's only musky lake and also has some big largemouths.
