I think it's going to make them HUNGRY! Personal experience has shown that the day before and first two days after a major storm system such as this one comes through the area the fish go on a feeding frenzy.

I was going to ask this very same question. Moreso what would the copious qty's of rain do to inland fishing.

I can't vouch for the water down south where you normally fish but it isn't bad up here when it happens. The water in the Neuse can get muddy especially in the creeks but the tidal water stays pretty clean.

The "boss" cancelled our beach trip for this week because of the impending tropical storm/hurricane. Being the smart man that I am I caved and agreed :)

I may have to take up ocean fishing! Only been three times with my little brother here in Jacksonville (actually at the Surf City Pier) and only caught one fish each time....A three foot Sand Shark! When I fish the only fish in the ocean are sand sharks!!

Its only supposed to rain Thursday near Wilmington. I don't think one day will be enough to effect the water.
Surf fishing always picks up after a storm
I was about to post the same question. My boss and I had planned on hitting the pamlico early friday morning, but Mr. Artie has pre-empted those plans. We are looking at saturday now. I sure hope Trigger is dead on!

I canceled a trip this morning due to what I was seeing on my favorite weather web site. I may have to pick another we site now. Dead calm this morning at Kinston. I checked the weather a gain, and even the rain was put off until a bit later.
Good thing my weather website isn't on trial. They'd get the death sentence.

Its pretty nice on the crystal coast this morning but I expect the conditions to get worse as the day goes on. Best bet was this morning. All the guest coming in has affected my fishing more than the hurricane :(
