Not sure if this is the right thread to post this so please bare with me. I've got to check and possibly replace the livewell valve activation cables and as of now I can't see them to well. My question is what is the best cleaner can I use to to clean all this mess? I had thought Greased Lightning might be good but wondering if that stuff might harm components in the bilge? Thanks for any suggestions.

grease lightning is good stuff. I use it all the time without issue. Wear some gloves to keep as much of it off your hands as you can.

Thanks Fishbucket for the advise. I used exactly your suggestion. Got almost 95% cleaned out. got some engine degreaser to do the few spots then it's to replace the control cable then to the lake i go.
