Cool man my buddy dropped one of mine in the Bay River about 2 weeks ago and we fished it out.

last month kayak fishing inshore at Masonboro Island, I tossed rod/reel over board making a cast. it just flew out of my hand. the rod end floated long enough for me to paddle over and hook the line with my paddle and pull in. surprised that the rod floated long enough to get to it.
