We all know how tough it is to invest these days.

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago,
it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the
original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1,000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank
all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND
you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink
heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401 Keg plan

I'm gonna start my investment today!

How much did it cost you to get to New York to claim your refund?

I was fortunate enough to sell some tech stock on a pretty good high this year... Got another dozen gray hairs, though, watching the price for the six weeks or so before I pulled that trigger. I'd be in the funny farm if I ever tried day-trading...

I know the scrap metal industry is red hot (in more ways than one)... Don't know any places in particular, but I'd expect the yellow pages would find ya somebody. My plumber buddy is keeping close tabs on his inventory of copper fittings, you can be sure....

Put a filter on your faucet at the house and you won't have to pay for the bottling of the water. Just use old bottles you've got from buying a $.99 water. Now wait. That's why I don't buy much bottled water. For a few cents more I get FLAVOR!!:D
