Our gang went out with Shane and Rick on the Second to None on the 3rd looking for a bluefin. The weather was great and the seas not too bad. We weren't fortunate enough to find any bluefin but did catch an AJ about 50 lbs. Why there was an AJ hanging around was the question. Had a nice boat ride and got to see the Morehead area for the first time. We will definately be back when there is a bite on.

We went looking for a striper bite for thursday. Hooked up with Herman Bunch on the Okie 2 out of Va Beach. Again, weather was nice, seas decent, and no luck! We caught one about 17lbs and one throw back striper. Got to see some more new territory but not a banner day by any means. First place we fished had thousands of birds diving and good marks but no takers. We revisited the spot on the way back in and hit the small fish.

I am going to figure out which guy in my group is the jinx and leave him at home next time, but I am definately going to continue coming to the coast to fish saltwater.

At least you had some nice days on the water. I guess that's why we call it fishing and not catching!

No, lol, no bananas. Shane asked that too. Although I did read an article where a guy rigged a banana and caught a sail on it to disprove the superstition. Maybe we should have tried that too...
