Very interesting talk by the Flounder Master Jimmy Price. I don't really think Flounder scale their fish like he says but its pretty enlightening. He uses 6lb test line and says he loves fishing structure and also says he has caught hundreds of 8-12lb Flounder. I wonder how many more hundred he would have caught if he stepped up to 20lb braid.. I don't understand how Jimmy says he can spank live baiters with his artificials. Another thing it kinda sucks when guides spend so much time bragging about how much better they are than everyone else. He can trash talk Yankee's but there are some Yankees who can slay some flounder. John skinner for example.

There isn't amore knowledgable flounder fisherman in the Carolina's then Jimmy Price. Darn sure ain't one funnier. As to flounder scaling minnow, back when I fished with natural bait saw scaled minnows all the time by fisherman not giving the flounder enough time.

Flounder do ''scale'' a bait. i have seen it numerous times when fishing finger mullet. Have also experienced occasions when artificial lures outfish live bait when fished side by side.

So why are flounder the only fish fussy enough to "scale" a fish before they swallow it? I've never believed that old wives tale.
