Its been a while since I have posted a fishing report here on NCAngler. I have been pretty busy looking for fish to qualify for the BFL regional on the James river in VA, which I made and spent a week there at the end of Septemeber and early october... tidal water proved pretty tough for this reservoir rat. The monday after I got back I took my boat in to the shop to have some work done and just got it back this week.

Today I dragged my old man to Jordan Lake. We put in just before 8, it was a bit cool in the morning but it turned into a picture perfect fall day. Between us we probably put 20 (Neil 15, Pops 5) fish in the boat with 6-7 decent keepers and a bunch of 12" fish, best 5 probably around 14 lbs. The majority of our fish came on crankbaits but best bites came on plastic (speed craw FWIW:D) and a spinnerbait. Enjoyable day on the water even though we never did stick a big one today.

Nice catch, Neil. Sounds like a great day. I was supposed to fish today but my family had a run-in (no pun intended) with the GI bug and I got cancelled. I was jonesing, it was so pretty out today... glad someone got to go!
